Steps

  1. Turn on live streaming

Do this a day ahead. YouTube says enabling it the first time can take up to 24 hours. Your channel must be verified, with no live streaming restrictions in the past 90 days.

  2. Sign in with Google

Pick YouTube during setup and choose your channel. You give TurboKast permission once, then it handles the broadcast for you.

  3. Use your TurboKast details in OBS

Enter the server URL and stream key TurboKast gave you, not YouTube's. OBS sends one connection, and YouTube gets its copy from TurboKast.

  4. Go live without the Control Room

Start your stream from OBS. TurboKast creates the YouTube broadcast and starts it, so you have nothing to press in YouTube Studio.
