Steps

  1. Connect your Twitch account

During setup, choose Twitch and sign in. TurboKast asks for streaming permissions at this point, so there is no key to copy from your dashboard.

  2. Add TurboKast to OBS

In OBS, open Settings, then Stream, and set the service to Custom. Paste your TurboKast server URL and stream key into the matching fields.

  3. Match what Twitch recommends

For 1080p at 60 fps, Twitch lists 6,000 Kbps at a constant bitrate with a keyframe every 2 seconds. Its audio advice is AAC at 96 Kbps.

  4. Start streaming

Press Start Streaming in OBS. TurboKast picks up the signal, and the live cockpit lets you preview it and switch Twitch off without stopping your stream.
