Terms for TurboKast apps and software
Last updated: October 21, 2026
These terms cover the apps and software TurboKast Ltd sells or gives away through other companies' stores and its own pages, including TurboKast BankClean, a Google Sheets add-on. Our multi-streaming service has its own terms at turbokast.com/terms .
Who we are. The seller is TurboKast Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (SC881077), 29 Commercial Street, Dundee, DD1 3DG, United Kingdom. Plainfiles is a trading name of TurboKast Ltd.
Licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software for your own personal or business use, on spreadsheets and accounts that you control. You may not resell, sublicense or share the software or a licence key, or copy, modify or reverse engineer the software except as the law allows.
Free and Pro
BankClean is free to use for up to 100 transactions, with the SA103 self-employment categories. BankClean Pro is a one-off payment of £19 for a licence key that unlocks unlimited transactions and the SA105 UK property categories. Pro keys are sold through our Plainfiles store on Payhip.
A Pro licence key is personal to the person who bought it and cannot be transferred, resold or shared with others.
Refunds and your consumer rights
Digital content you buy from us must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and you may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
To ask for a refund, email [email protected] from the address you bought with. If we refund a Pro key, the key is deactivated in a later update of the add-on and will then stop unlocking Pro features.
Not tax, accounting or legal advice
BankClean sorts the transactions you give it into Self Assessment boxes using rules that you can edit. It is not tax, accounting or legal advice. You are responsible for checking the results and for the accuracy of your tax return. If you are unsure how to treat a transaction, ask a qualified adviser or HMRC. We are not affiliated with HMRC, Google or any bank.
No warranty
Subject to your statutory rights, the software is provided as it is, without any warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for a particular purpose. Bank file formats change, and we cannot promise that every file will be recognised.
Limit of our liability
To the extent the law allows, TurboKast Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or penalties, interest or charges arising from your tax affairs, and our total liability to you for any claim about the software is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Your data
How we handle information is explained in our privacy policy .
Changes
We may update these terms, for example when we release a new product. The date at the top shows when they last changed. A change does not affect a purchase you have already made.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. This does not affect any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
