What a server URL looks like

A server URL starts with rtmp:// or rtmps://, then a host, then a short path such as /app or /live2. Your stream key goes in its own field in OBS, not on the end of the URL.

Keep your key private

A stream key lets anyone go live on your channel. Never show it on stream or share it. If it leaks, reset it on the platform and paste the new one into your encoder.

RTMP or RTMPS

RTMPS is RTMP over an encrypted connection, so your stream and key aren't sent in the clear. Use it when your platform offers it.
