Your survey response
Who is asking and why
TurboKast is the controller and sponsor of this research. Contact [email protected] about the study or your data. We use responses to understand streamer workflows, alternatives and spending, and to inform product and business decisions. This is an initial pilot, not a representative market census.
Your choice
Taking part is voluntary and limited to adults aged 18 or over. We rely on your consent to process the response you submit. You may skip optional questions or leave before submitting. Follow-up contact has its own optional permission and does not enrol you in marketing.
What is collected
We save only submitted answers, a random receipt, submission time, study and notice versions, pilot phase and a broad invitation source such as ‘community’. We do not save unfinished answers. We do not link your response to a TurboKast account. Please avoid names, channel URLs and sensitive personal details in free text. A response may still identify you from what you choose to share; this is not a promise of anonymity.
An optional follow-up email is encrypted and stored separately from the response. Necessary session and security processing lets us serve the form, prevent request forgery and limit abuse. Our infrastructure receives connection information such as your IP address; this is not stored with research answers. Infrastructure providers process connection information for delivery and security; contact us for details of their applicable retention arrangements.
Optional analytics
Research answers and email addresses are never sent to analytics. If optional research analytics is enabled and you allow analytics, PostHog may receive limited events such as a step being reached or a submission succeeding, with study version, broad source and device category. Survey pages never use session replay or automatic form capture. Declining analytics, blocking it or reaching a provider limit does not prevent submitting the survey.
Access, storage and retention
Only authorised TurboKast administrators can read responses or follow-up contacts. Fly.io hosts the application and database; Cloudflare supports delivery and encrypted backups. Optional PostHog analytics uses its EU service. Infrastructure providers may process data internationally under their contractual data-protection arrangements. Contact us for details of applicable transfer safeguards.
Research responses reach their retention deadline 180 days after submission, and follow-up contact after 90 days. A daily retention job removes records on its next run after that deadline; administrators can also apply the protected retention operation. Encrypted backups are configured to expire after 30 days; provider deletion can follow expiry with a delay. Deleted research data must be removed again if a backup is restored. After deletion or contact withdrawal, an empty receipt marker remains for 32 days, until the next daily retention run, to prevent retries and help exclude erased data from backup restores. A separate restricted erasure record may be kept until affected backup disposal is confirmed. Private exports must follow the same deadlines. We may retain aggregate findings that no longer identify participants.
Your rights
Keep the receipt shown after submission. Email [email protected] with it to request access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent, or to discuss restriction, objection and portability where applicable. We may need proportionate verification. Without a receipt or identifying information we may be unable to locate your response. Withdrawing does not affect processing already lawfully performed. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or your local supervisory authority.
